Well the time has come - Moscow on Sunday, St Petersburg Monday. I can't wait...
But that's all to come.

A couple of people we had on the Breakfast Show this week... Bobby Vee with some pretty interesting stories about the good old days and what he's up to these days. The best of his memories came when his band needed a piano player and hired a guy named Elston Gunnn. Unfortunately he could only play songs in the key of C, which if you are not familiar with music means you can only sing using a few different notes. They soldiered on for a while with him but it didn't work out. That man's subsequent name? Bob Dylan. And I must admit that listening to some of the songs he droned on it would appear he still can only play on the key of C.

Jimmy Osmond was on this week also. What a great guy he's grown into. It was weird having the memory of his "Long haired lover from Liverpool" days in my mind and then hearing this intelligent, articulate man. He's dead clever, having been involved in production of TV and live shows and worked as an advisor to the Chinese State TV station CCTV. Although having watched some of it when I was in Beijing I think they must have forgotten or ignored some of his thoughts and recommendations.

Interestingly I was guilty of what the Americans usually do. "Oh you're from Enger-laaand, Do you know Jane Smith?" No, there are 60 million people in the UK now, I don't know everyone! But having found that Bobby is living in Branston Missouri and Jimmy has a theater (note the American spelling) there and lives there for part of the year. I thought they would know each other but no I was wrong, but it gave Jimmy an idea that he would like Bobby to appear at his theater. Also Bobby wanted to go and see that show I've been going on about – The Jersey Boys – The story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, so I phoned my pal and got that organized and you may see some coverage of his visit in the press. Enjoy the Osmonds live on Thursday night at The Metro Radio Arena and there is a special 50th Anniversary DVD released on Monday.

By the time you read this we will have given away a fantastic mediterranean cruise for two. Nick who follows me at 10am on Magic was on the cruise you could win broadcasting live from the ship all this week. He had been looking forward to getting a wonderful tan and enjoying the life on the Ocean wave, but Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was rainy with a sea fret all the time - Tee Hee!

All being well I shall try and get some words back to you from Moscow. Things like Preeviet and Dosvidanya ... er hello and Goodbye.
