SUNDERLAND are one of four Premier League clubs vying to take Udinese striker Matej Vydra on loan, according to reports in the Czech Republic.
West Brom, West Ham, Swansea and the Black Cats are all rumoured to be in the running for the 21-year-old, who netted 20 goals during a loan spell with Championship Watford last season.
Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen have also expressed an interest in Vydra, but his agent Ondrej Chovanec insists the striker is likely to move to the Premier League.
“It’s more likely Matej will play in England,” said Chovanec.
Sunderland are in the market for fresh attacking options this summer, with AZ Alkmaar’s Jozy Altidore and Manchester City John Guidetti both on the club’s radar.
