Sunderland jury: Michael Quinn previews Sunday’s game

AFTER our performances in recent weeks, I would usually be fully expecting for Sunderland to arrive at Craven Cottage on Sunday and be comprehensively beaten.

However, last weekend has given me great optimism. I actually can’t wait for this game.

It wasn’t so much the defensive solidity we showed for the majority of the game, but more the confidence flowing through our attackers, especially in the first half.

I expect the starting line-up will be much the same, but hopefully include Lee Cattermole, who we did miss at Goodison.

Hopefully, Johnson and Sessegnon can play with the freedom that they showed against Everton. Swapping positions and causing Fulham defenders different kinds of problems throughout the match is probably our best chance of coming away from London with three points.

We can’t underestimate the challenge that Fulham will pose however.

Their 3-3 draw at Arsenal last weekend just shows the type of class they have throughout their side.

Hopefully O’Shea and Cuellar can keep Berbatov quiet and our attackers can do the rest!

Prediction: Fulham 2 Sunderland 2
