O’Shea still doubtful for Spurs clash
Sunderland defender John O’Shea remains a doubt for tomorrow’s home Premier League clash with Spurs after missing the midweek win over Manchester City match through illness.
And Sunderland will definitely be forced into making one change, with Danny Rose unable to play against parent club Spurs.
Boss Martin O’Neill told the Echo today: “As well as that, we’ve got a few knocks and bruises from the Man City game, too, and it’s just a question of seeing how the lads come through a light training session before I look to make any decision in terms of selection.
“But obviously everyone is up after the Man City game and everyone will want to play.
O’Neill confirmed that midfielder David Meyler is expected to be available for tomorrow’s game after being allowed to spend an extra few days training with his loan club, Hull City.
