Saturday, May 5, 1973, will always be remembered as one of Sunderland’s greatest ever days.

Major underdogs, Bob Stokoe’s second division side took on Don Revie’s Leeds United machine ... and won.

It’s almost 40 years since that glorious day. To mark that anniversary, we’re reliving that season – day by day.
