Wearside League preview
Ryhope CW, who bounced back to form with a six-goal midweek drubbing of Silksworth, will be out for revenge when they host Windscale in the Monkwearmouth Cup tomorrow.
The Cumbrians recently won in the league at Ryhope and secretary Dougie Benison knows that they are a formidable side.
He said: "They are fifth and were impressive against us so we'll have to be at the top of our game."
Manager Martin Swales cannot name suspended pair Joe Walton or Lloyd Conlin, while Neil Atkinson is injured. In addition, he will need to check on the availability of Richard Jordan, Kenny Linton and Anthony Hazard.
Pointless Boldon CA, who have conceded 33 goals in eight games, face another difficult test at Hartlepool, whose chances of making progress are boosted by the inclusion of goalkeeper Andy Fletcher, Rob Ferguson and Phil Ross.
Leaders Annfield Plain miss the suspended Paul Henderson at Kirkbymoorside where Gary Anderson, Barry Lindoe and Dean Lee will require fitness tests.
Coxhoe Athletic, encouraged by their midweek performance, definitely miss Stuart Ord and Ian Ward against New Marske, though Paul Orton and Trevor Tierney are rated doubtful.
In the league, Ashbrooke Belford House manager Tommy Dobbing is pleased to have Paul Robinson and Martin Deacon fit for the trip to Cleator Moor Celtic. Captain Kenny Taylor and Lewis Hutchinson, though, are definite non-starters.
Houghton Town's cracking performance at Cleator Moor in midweek has given management pair Steve Patton and Anthony Laidler a selection headache for tomorrow's visit to Jarrow despite the fact Andrew Gartland is banned.
Jarrow, whose form has been inconsistent, have major doubts surrounding Dean Patton and Peter Henderson, but Chris McDonald is added to the squad.
Three Wearside League clubs will be competing in the first qualifying round of the FA Carlsberg Vase.
Easington Colliery, off to a flier in their bid to regain Northern League status, have home advantage against Hall Road Rangers from Humberside. The Colliers hope Joe Atherton will be passed fit to play and James Huntley and Chris Hall will also require fitness checks.
Willington's tie with Bishop Auckland at Hall Lane will no doubt revive memories of the glory days for both clubs when fixtures between them attracted big games, especially in the FA Amateur Cup which they both won at Wembley.
Prudhoe Town travel to Yorkshire outfit Tadcaster.
