ECHO JURY: Michael Quinn

AFTER the elation of the well-deserved victory over West Ham, it is now time to get back to work and repeat the performance against a well-drilled Championship side.

Bolton proved that they can be dangerous and score goals; we will need O’Shea and Bramble to be at their best to stop this, but with O’Shea back in the side and I am confident that we will be able to keep a clean sheet.

I expect to see the same line-up which started against West Ham. Vaughan was scintillating on Saturday – if he can control the game in the same fashion, allowing our forwards to concentrating on attacking, we could score a few goals.

Larsson’s game was significantly improved after his goal, it just goes to show what a shot of confidence can do, and he needs to carry that into this game.

The arrival of new players and the confidence returning to the team has made me even more confident that we could have a good cup run. If we focus on each game as it comes, performing to the same level as we did against West Ham, why can’t we dream about Wembley?

Prediction: Sunderland 2 Bolton 0
