Rugby: Durham just keep on winning
DurhamCity extended their winning run to four in North One East with an excellent 20-10 victory at Pontefract on Saturday.
City enjoyed a pair of tries from full-back AJ Smith, both converted by Dudley Cortland, as they stormed 14-0 up in the first half.
Cortland added two second-half penalties to confirm victory – a second away win in successive weeks.
* Houghton endured a disappointing 39-0 defeat at Ponteland in Durham and Northumberland Division Two, while Washington put up a brave show in losing 21-7 to high-flying Washington in Division Three. Horden's Division One game at Consett was postponed.
