In their second clash with Westoe seconds, the Spartans rallied, with Robinson constantly being put in space through slick handling by Adam Shiels and Russell Chapman-Smith.

Hard-hitting Jack Taylor powered over the line for a try and led a defensive effort that restricted Westoe to three tries.

With Robinson tormenting the opponents, he helped himself to five tries as the Wearsiders claimed a 30-15 win.

Hit by injuries, the Saracens found the going tougher against Westoe seconds. Josh Jobling led the attack crossing for a score, alongside Adam Williams, but Westoe finished 35-10 winners.

Facing Westoe firsts, Sunderland only had a five-minute spell of control as the South Shields side dominated, but the Ashbrooke youngsters kept fighting and, in a 50-10 defeat, had consolation scores from Jack Cahill and Jobling.
