NEIL Richardson claimed only his second victory in Seaham’s Knack Premier League after he saw off the challenge of Spiller Henderson to win 5-2.
Richardson had two 20-drat legs and a 21-darter in his success, while Spiller’s best result was a 17-dart finish.
Kevin Guy stayed in touch with the leaders after another classy performance, winning 5-2 against Martin Price.
Guy hit a maximum and won his legs in 21, 17 (twice), 18 and 16 darts, while Price won in 19 and 18 darts, including a 122 checkout.
Ryhope’s John Redpath continued his recent good form when he comfortably beat Neil Rose 5-1 with legs of 24, 22, 21,20 and 18 darts, winning the match with a 115 finish.
Eddie Ashman was ruthless against Ray Malarkey which saw Ashman take out a 133 finish in an opening 15-dart leg.
Mark Robinson climbed up to eighth with a hard-fought 5-2 victory over John Squire.
Jimmy Ashett had a mixed night after he overcame Steve Skinner 5-3, before he succumbed to his first defeat of the season when he went down 5-3 against Graham Mullen.
Steve Skinner had better luck in his second game of the night when he ran out a 5-0 winner against Neil Mather.
