'No doubt in my mind that the better team won'
At the final whistle on Saturday, the feelings of joy and euphoria which swept over Sunderland supporters were almost impossible to do justice to.
If you could bottle that feeling, you would make a fortune.

Derby games are all about the result and for the first time in a very long time, the result went Sunderland's way on Wearside.
People have gone on maybe a little too much about the "28 years of hurt" idea – it's a bit misleading, seeing as there were only five defeats in that time.
But it's great to put it to bed anyway – in style.
The strong winds could have ruined the game but Sunderland played some really good stuff and, to be fair to Newcastle, they didn't do too badly either.
You ask any footballer what weather conditions he hates playing in the most and he'll say a swirling wind.
Not the cold, or the rain but swirling winds because it can make passing, crossing and moving the ball around a real lottery.
In the end though, both sides moved the ball around well and gave us a good game of football.
There's no doubt in my mind that the better team won.
Sometimes in football, you don't get what you deserve – you look at this fixture last season when Danny Higginbotham scored and James Milner got a lucky equaliser – Sunderland did enough that day to deserve all three points.
At the weekend though, they got their just rewards and that was great to see, because no matter how well you might play in this particular game, the result is the be all and end all.
And there's no question that this result has given the club, the players and the fans as big a boost as they could hope for.
