H There was only one rearranged game was played this week in the Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker League.

In Division One, Biddick A and South Hylton rearranged last week’s postponed game with both teams needing a win to help their position in the league.

Graham Smith and Bobby Boyce got the match off to a brilliant start with both players producing 29 breaks taking the frame down to the final colours.

A mistake on the pink by Graham saw Bobby pot the pink and black to win the frame 74-58.

Michael Riley and Ian Stewart had a tussle in the second frame with Michael coming from 40 points behind and needing a snooker on the final colours to pinch the frame on the black 65-57.

Dave Adamson moved Biddick into the lead when winning the third frame, before a 24-break by Rod Turnbull helped him win the fourth frame.

In the pairs, Graham Smith and Michael Riley faced Bobby Boyce and Ian Stewart, and it was Ian who got Hylton off to a fine start with a 28 break.

However, this brought a response from Biddick, who clawed themselves back into the frame only to go down on the final red.

Michael looked to have won Biddick the frame producing a good 21-break, but a miss on the pink let Bobby in to pot the pink and black and steal the frame and reduce the defeat to 3-2.
