TABLE-TOPPING Paul Williams made it eight wins out of eight as he put in yet another excellent performance in Seaham’s Knack Premier League.
Fresh from winning one of the region’s biggest opens at the Teams Club in Gateshead at the weekend, Williams was a comfortable 6-1 winner over Neil Richardson.
He won six straight legs in 16, 17, 18 and 19 darts (twice) and a sensational season-best 11-darter which saw Williams hit 140, 180, 140 and a 41 finish.
Steve Skinner continued his impressive, unbeaten start as he ended reigning champion Kevin Guy’s 100 per cent record in a 5-5 draw.
Skinner hit two maximums and had winning legs of 17, 19 and 20 darts. Guy’s best came in 16, 18, 19 and 21.
Davey Thompson showed no mercy to his Super League team-mate as he whitewashed Spiller Henderson to stay third.
Alan Smith moved up three places after a 6-1 win over Ray Malarkey, with a couple of 19-darters the highlights.
Dan Gillibrand collected his first points of the season as he swapped places with John Allan at the bottom after a 6-3 win.
Anth Skelton enjoyed a hard-fought 6-4 win over Anthony Gale. Skelton had best legs of 18 and 20 darts, while Gale hit a tremendous 136 finish in a 15-darter.
John Redpath was a 6-1 winner over Neil Mather, while Neil Rose defeated John Nicholson 6-2.
