Ranson secures second spot in TLI Summer Series

HOUGHTON CC’s Dave Ranson secured second place overall in the TLI Summer Series over 12 weeks at Croft Racing Circuit, near Darlington.

Paul Whitehill (Houghton CC) and Peter Hale of Ferryhill Wheelers are the latest winners of Houghton CC’s nine-mile evening time trial series.

Whitehill posted victory on July 9 in 22min 0sec, to win by 53 seconds, while, this week, Hale stormed home almost two minutes clear in 21.45.

H Houghton CC will hold the last in the series of races at the Gateshead College SASMI (former Nissan) track tomorrow.

The opening youth race at 10am will double up as the final of the North East Youth League. There is a category 4 race at noon, followed by a category 3/4 event at 12.45 and an Elite/1/2/3 race at 2pm.
