Plains Farm edged out Town End Farm 5-3 in an enthralling match that saw bowls of the highest quality from both sides.

The match, going into the last end, could have ended in a draw with Town End Farm laying on a shot which would have given them a share of the spoils.

However, M.Laydon had other ideas and his last bowl edged it to clinch victory.
