MICKY Watson had a mixed night in the Premier Division of the Thorney Close Darts League.
He beat Marco Laybourn 5-3, but lost 5-1 to Tes Charlesworth.
Against Laybourn, Watson’s best legs were two 21-darters.
Charlesworth enjoyed legs in 18, 19, 20 and 21 darts on his way to victory.
Two close-fought draws kicked off the night’s action, with Steve Carr and Anth Richardson unable to be separated.
Carr’s best game was a 15-darter with a 125 outshot.
Jack Revely also drew, this time with Andy Lincoln in a very close game.
Revely’s highlights were 18, 19 and 20-dart legs, while Lincoln enjoyed 15, 19 and 20-darters, plus a 180.
Chris Bolam beat Micky Callan 5-0, scoring two 19-darters in the process.
Ian Jarvis beat Vince Lorraine 5-2, Jarvis hitting a 15, 18, 19 and 20-dart legs, plus two 180s.
Walter Scott was also on the winning trail, beating Steve Richardson 5-3 thanks to 14, 18 and 20-darters, plus a 180. Richardson’s best legs were in 17 and 21 darts.
Lee Rump was victorious against Alan Slight 5-3, Rump scoring legs in 19 and 21 darts, while Slight hit a 116 outshot plus a 180.
Steve Richardson suffered his second defeat of the night by 5-0 at the hands of Andy Lincoln, whose best legs were in 17, 19 and 21 darts.
In Division One, Anth Devine lost 5-3 to Jamie Scott, who had a 21-dart leg, plus a 180.
Gary Richardson beat Alan Grimes 5-1 thanks to legs in 20 and 21 darts and a 127 finish on the bull.
Jason Allan also won 5-1, this time against Dan Scott, with a 17-dart leg being Allan’s highlight.
Adam Lafferty’s 5-2 defeat of Shaun Turnbull included legs in 20 and 21 darts.
Darren Johnston stayed in second with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Jordan Cook.
Danny Cullen beat Anth Devine 5-1, Cullen’s highlight being a 20-darter.
Dennis Cullen drew with Darren Johnston, Cullen hitting a 20-darter with a 180, while Johnston’s best legs were in 17 and 20 darts.
