KEVIN Guy produced some brilliant darts to demolish Davey Thompson in Seaham’s John Smith’s Knack Premier League.
Guy had a best leg of 16 darts and two 20-darters, while an out-of-sorts Thompson hit a maximum in vain.
League leader Paul Williams cruised to a 5-0 victory against bottom-placed Barry Rutherford with two 18-darters.
John “Boy” Redpath looks to be firmly in the driving seat for eighth place after a hard-fought 5-2 win against Mark Robinson.
Redpath had winning legs of 18, 20 and 21 twice.
Neil Richardson hit a maximum as he secured his first win for sometime with a scrappy 5-3 win over Dawdon’s Phil Dunn.
Eddie Ashman produced a fine comeback against Martin Price to secure a draw after being behind against an inspired Price, who led 3-0 and 4-1.
Ashman showed his class to rattle off the last three legs in 22 and 18 darts twice, with both players hitting a maximum.
John Squire hit a 16-dart leg in a 5-3 win against Ray Malarkey.
Spiller Henderson looks to have blown his chances of the top eight after dropping two points against Alan Smith.
Spiller’s best legs were two 20-darters, while Smith’s best came in 19 darts.
H The finals night will be held on Friday, December 7.
In attendance will be the current England ranked number one and England International Glen “Duzza” Durrant.
He will be presenting all the prizes and calling the final before playing players and some lucky people from the audience.
There will be a £1.50 entry fee on the door with a 7pm start.
