TOWN End Farm toppled title favourites Grindon 6-2 in a pulsating match/

The first rink could have gone either way but the Farm edged it. Grindon fought back to level but Farm were always in command in the third and won in style.

Mitchells are improving fast this season and had a comfortable 6-2 win over Plains Farm, winning the first two rinks but losing the third.

Farringdon are a team that could be in the mix-up this year, and they easily accounted for Silksworth 6-2.

Steels are finding it hard going this year and they lost 6-2 to St Leonards, who bounced back after a home defeat last week.

Grangetown were comfortably outplayed at home to Hetton losing 7-1. Hetton have really improved on last season’s form and may have a shot at the title, thought it is early days.
