Chester-le-Street will stage Durham’s final Northern Counties League clash of 2016.

The derby against old rivals Northumberland will be played at the Ropery Lane course to close the campaign on September 3.

Durham, who were beaten in all five league matches this year, open up with a trip to Heysham to tackle Lancashire on May 7, before hosting Cumbria at Barnard Castle (June 4) and Cheshire at Brancepeth Castle (July 9).

Durham then visit The Oaks, in Aughton, North Yorkshire, to take on defending champions Yorkshire on August 6.

Durham have two pre-season fixtures, meeting the Durham County Junior Golfing Society at Roseberry Grange on April 3 and the Teesside Union at Rockliffe Hall on April 17.
