ALL of the top seven darts players won in the Knack Premier League in Seaham this week.
Fresh from winning for the Tyne and Wear county team in the Isle of Wight, Kevin Guy’s consistent heavy scoring gave him a hard fought 5-3 victory over Alan Smith. His best legs were in 17 and 18 darts, while Alan checked out on 119 and had 19 and 21-darters.
Anth Skelton made it 11 180s for the season as he banged three in against Phil Dunn in a 5-3 win.
Leader Neil Rose showed no signs of slowing up as he eased past John Redpath 5-2 with 17 and 19-darters.
Paul Gillibrand gave second-placed Eddie Ashman a real scare after a strong start gave him a 3-2 lead with 17, 19 and 20-darters. But the experienced Ashman reeled off three straight legs, including a winning 102 checkout in an 18-dart last leg, to keep him in touch with Rose.
Davey Thompson once again showed his ruthlessness as he whitewashed Martin Price with the help of a 118 checkout and best legs of 18 and 19 darts and a tremendous 13-dart leg.
Neil Richardson made it three games unbeaten after a 4-4 stalemate with Parkside’s Anthony Gale.
Graham Mullen stays fourth after a routine 5-0 win against John Allan, with best legs of 18 and 19 darts.
The league’s surprise package Steve Skinner put daylight between himself and the chasing pack as he beat Spiller Henderson 5-3 with the help of 18 and 19-dart legs.
