Laybourn blows title chance
MARCO Laybourn blew his Thorney Close Darts League title chances after he threw away a 4-0 lead in a dramatic 4-4 draw with Tony Richardson.
Laybourn’s draw has cost him the league title after a strong Richardson fightback, with both players enjoying 19 and 20 dart legs. Steve Dykes is now crowned champion of the Thorney Close Darts Premier League.
Steve Carr played out a draw with Jack Revely, with Carr’s best legs being in 16, 2x21-darters, plus a 180 checkout.
Darren Johnston won his last game of the season to move off the bottom of the league by beating Tom Davies 5-2, with both players hitting 19 and 21-darter legs.
Steve Richardson beat Micky Callan 5-3, with Richardson’s best legs being 20, 21-darters.
Andy Lincoln beat Tom Davies 5-0 to make the finals night.
Vince Lorraine beat Andy Lincoln 5-2 to cement his place place in the finals night.
Lorraine’s best legs were in 20 and 2x21 darts. Lincoln’s best was in 14 darts with a great 118 finish.
