Junior football: Detached get it together to reach seventh Heaven
YELLOW DIVISION FARRINGDON Detached were emphatic winners over Peterlee Helford United, with the impressive Matthew Norman bagging four, Lucas Middleton two and Declan Butler one.
Farringdon then defeated HFC United thanks to goals for Matthew Norman, Kristopher Newton and Dalton Thompson.
Sacriston Community were in fine form, winning both of their games without conceding a goal.
They beat Shotton Colts Blues thanks to a hat-trick from Sam Snowdon, together with goals for Will Lindsay and Ben Jackson. Snowdon bagged another three as they defeated Farringdon Detached.
Lewis Brolls with a hat-trick, Harry Veitch (2) and Ethan Haynes gave Waldridge Park Blues a handsome victory over Peterlee Helford United.
Four goals for the impressive Bradley Bamling together with a brace for Brandon Simpson gave Coxhoe United a convincing win against South Moor Juniors Reds.
RED DIVISION
SAFC Foundation Whites were too strong for Redby Reds with Tom Watson (2), Josh Dickinson and Nathan Bland on target.
Washington AFC Lions roared against East Durham with goals for George Rounsfell and Lucas Gamblin.
Easington Colliery edged out Redby Reds thanks to a goal from Owen Armstrong.
East Coast defeated Durham Soccarena Celtic thanks to goals from Oliver James and Niall Stephen, then drew with SAFC Foundation Whites – Kieran Stonebank netting for East Coast and Tom Watson replying for the Whites.
Liam Goldsborough scored two, with Sam Greenwood also on target as Willington Youth Blues beat Durham Soccarena Celtic.
WHITE DIVISION
REDBY Whites saw off Shotton Colts thanks to a double from Bill Turnbull and one for Tom Brown, with Jamie Boardman replying.
Whiteleas Lions bared their claws to overcome Beamish with goals form Aaron Carr, Thomas Green and Morgan Stewart.
The Lions then edged out Hetton Juniors Milan, thanks to a goal from Tom Green.
BLUE DIVISION
RIVERSIDE had Jonathon Elsbury to thank for the only goal of the game as they edged out Ouston Juniors.
Washington Juniors came out on top against Deerness Valley, thanks to goals from Callum Milburn and Ryan Harland.
Whitburn and Cleadon Bees stung Bowburn Youth thanks to a goal from Scott Armstrong, while the impressive Tyler James grabbed a hat-trick for Ouston Juniors as they overcame South Moor Juniors Blues.
Bowburn Youth proved to be too strong for Deerness Valley, defeating them with a brace for Evan Peadon, plus one for Lewis Fearon.
