HOUGHTON Cycling City’s Mark Harrison finished eighth (48 minutes, 13 seconds) in the Wansbeck CC open 21 mile time trial.
There was a field of 89 riders, including some of the top class riders in the North East.
Carl Donaldson (GS Metro), who has had a great start to the season, won the race in 45 minutes 48 seconds, beating his nearest rival John Sturman (Active Cycles) by 49 seconds.
Other Houghton riders were 27th Matthew Webb (51.48), Malcolm Sellers (1 hr, 21 seconds) and Joe Applegarth (1.5.51).
