HOUGHTON CC’s Mark Harrison clinched second place in the club’s 25-mile time trial on the M254 course, starting and finishing at Ponteland.
Harrison clocked up a time of 57 minutes 30 seconds in the wet, just behind race winner Carl Donaldson (GS Metro), who raced home in 55.46.

* Houghton riders were also in action in the Team Swift 10-mile event on the M101 course, won by Nev Martin (Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue) in 21.03. Mal Sellers was Houghton’s top finished in 18th, winning his category in the process.
