FORMER Sunderland assistant manager Steve Cotterill is looking for a new job after his coaching role at Queens Park Rangers came to an end.
The 48-year-old, who was was deputy to manager Howard Wilkinson at Sunderland, was brought in by Harry Redknapp last season to reinforce the coaching staff at Loftus Road.
But his short-term contract has now ended and will not be renewed.
Cotterill was Wilkinson’s assistant in a doomed six-month spell at the Stadium of Light which ended in humiliating relegation in the 2002-03 campaign.
The Wearside stint was one of many for the much-travelled coach, whose former clubs include Cheltenham, Stoke, Burnley, Notts County, Portsmouth and Nottingham Forest.
Cotterill is to be replaced as head coach by former England boss Steve McClaren according to the Daily Star Sunday.
