BLACKPOOL midfielder Charlie Adam is on his way to Merseyside to discuss a possible move to Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of much speculation during this transfer window, with Aston Villa and Manchester United rumoured to be chasing his signature, but Liverpool now seem to have won the race to sign the Scottish midfielder.
Adam joined Blackpool for £500,000 in the summer of 2009 and he has scored 22 goals in 65 appearances for the Seasiders.
He helped the Tangerines to promotion last term, but Holloway seems resigned to losing his prize asset after the club have accepted a bid believed to be in excess of £6 million.
Earlier today, Holloway signed Andy Reid from Sunderland as a possible replacement for the Scot.
