BARNSLEY have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Rory Delap from Stoke City.
The Yorkshire side are currently third from bottom of the Championship, four points adrift of safety.
The Tykes will be hoping to benefit not only from the veteran’s experience but also from his infamous long throws.
Barnsley have also signed striker Chris O’Grady from Sheffield Wednesday and have released 29-year-old Egyptian forward Mido today.
Delap, who is now 36 and counts Carlisle United, Derby County, Southampton and Sunderland as former clubs, will be looking to get as much game time as possible as the Irish midfielder has only made one appearance for Stoke this season.
