BOLO Zenden is being offered a new contract by Sunderland as a reward for his impeccable conduct off the pitch and unsung contribution on it.
The evergreen midfielder turns 35 in August this year, but he is likely to be still wearing the red and white stripes when he does, as Sunderland look to extend the stay of a player who has been nothing but good news for the club.
Chairman Niall Quinn and manager Steve Bruce are both massive fans of the former Dutch international, who can play in a variety of positions, and come the summer Zenden will have the opportunity to add another year to his stay at the Stadium of Light – if he wishes.
Bruce, right, said: “We’ll look at a contract for him in the next week or so.
