YORK have signed Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will go straight into the Minstermen squad for this weekend’s double-header against Bristol Rovers and relegation rivals Plymouth.

Hartlepool-born Reed has yet to appear for Sunderland but has had loan spells at Brentford, Bradford and Leyton Orient and has this season made 10 appearances for Portsmouth while on loan at Fratton Park.

YEOVIL have signed striker Angelo Balanta on a loan deal from QPR until the end of the campaign.

The 22-year-old, who made his Rangers debut in 2007, has spent three previous loan spells in npower League One with MK Dons.
