Sunderland's Stadium of Light is gearing up to host England v Australia tonight as part of Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 preparations.

The Socceroos have been put through their paces at Sunderland's Academy of Light training ground this week ahead of the match (7.45pm kick-off).

Unable to select Asia-based players as the match falls outside of a Fifa window, coach Ange Postecoglou has made nine changes to the squad that beat Tajikistan and Jordan in March’s World Cup qualifiers.

So who are the Australia players set to face England? We take a look through their squad:

Goalkeeper:

Valencia goalkeeper Mat Ryan remains number one despite a rollercoaster season in La Liga. With 21 appearances he remains number one and is expected to start at the Stadium of Light.

Defence:

Josh Risdon (Perth Glory). With Ryan McGowan unavailable for Friday night's match, Glory captain Risdon will be given another chance to impress at right-back.

Bailey Wright (Preston North End). The championship defender is an increasingly important option in central defence and he won't be afraid to mix it if need be.

Milos Degenek (1860 Munich) A perfect opportunity for the Socceroo debutant. The powerhouse defender will likely partner Wright at centre-back.

Brad Smith (Liverpool) - The Liverpool left-back is first choice.

Midfield:

Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace). Jedinak will play in the holding midfield role and he is expected to lead out Australia against England.

Tom Rogic (Celtic). The attacking midfielder likes to go on mazy runs and will aim to cause the England defence problems.

Aaron Mooy (Melbourne City). Attack-minded like Rogic, he could prove a key weapon for Australia against Hodgson's side.

Attack:

Tomi Juric (Roda JC). Back from injury, the Dutch-based striker will want to impress.

Robbie Kruse (Bayer Leverkusen). The German-based striker is back in the squad and is expected to start against England at the Stadium of Light.

Chris Ikonomidis (Lazio). A chance to impress for the youngster, who could play out wide as part of an attacking front three.
