New Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce has made three changes for his first game in charge of Sunderland.

Two are enforced, with Younes Kaboul in for the suspended Sebastian Coates, while Jeremain Lens also misses out after his red card against West Ham United.

Seb Larsson comes in for Lens, while Jordi Gomez replaces Swedish midfielder Ola Toivonen, who picked up a groin injury on international duty.

Winless Sunderland, 19th in the Premier League, are looking for their first win of the league campaign.

Wes Brown and Liam Bridcutt are on the Sunderland bench.

Meanwhile, ex-Sunderland forward Stephane Sessegnon makes a surprise comeback for West Brom, making his first start since April.
