Sunderland fans were in party mood at Vicarage Road for the final day of the season – and couldn’t resist mocking their rivals again.
The chance to rub it in over relegated Newcastle United was taken, again, with loud chants of “The Mags are going down” and “Rafa Beneathus”.
Beach balls were thrown about as the party mood developed from well before kick-off, with the Sunderland songbook adding to the atmosphere.
Meanwhile, at St James’s Park, a plane paid for by Sunderland fans flew over the Newcastle game against Tottenham carrying the banner ‘Auf Wiedersehn Prem, Tyne to Go’.
