SUNDERLAND are reported to be in talks with Argentinian outfit Club Atletico Tigre over their left-back Lucas Orban according to the Daily Star on Sunday.
The 24-year-old joined Tigre from River Plate in the 2011-12 season, initially on loan, and has now played 76 games, scoring two goals.
He began his career at River Plate, where he was handed a professional contract in 2009.
Sunderland’s first target left-back is Spurs’ England Under 21 man Danny Rose, who spent all last season on loan at the Stadium ofo Light.
But it is possible that Orban is being lined up as potential cover
If the Orban interest is genuine, it will only fuel the feel that head coach
Paolo Di Canio is assembling a foreign legion as he looks for value for money in the transfer market.
He is currently believed to be finalising deals with Lazio’s Modibo Diakite, Martimo’sValentin Roberge, Basel’s Cabral and Le Havre’s El-Hadji Ba.
