JORDAN Henderson is on his way out of Sunderland and Liverpool striker David N’gog will come to the Stadium of Light, reports say today.
The £20million combined deal has been thrashed out between the two clubs, with personal terms yet to be discussed with the players, according to most of today’s national press.
Henderson has been hot property for months after breaking into Sunderland’s first team and making his senior England debut.
It means Liverpool will have plucked £50million of homegrown talent from the North East’s big two clubs, in the wake of Andy Carroll joining the Reds in January.
Liverpool are now expected to step up their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing and Blackpool’s Charlie Adam.
Sunderland, meanwhile, will be under pressure to invest in quality after allowing Darren Bent to join Villa in January.
