TOTTENHAM Hotspur, who saw a deadline day bid for FC Porto’s Joao Moutinho fail in August, have been handed a great incentive to renew their interest.
It was the third party ownership of Moutinho which caused the £20million deal to collapse in the summer as it contravened Premier League rules.
However, it has now come to light that Porto have bought out this share of the player’s ownership.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is a long time admirer of the Portuguese international having managed him during his time at Porto and has made no secret of his desire of bringing him to White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have already brought German Lewis Holtby into their midfield but with Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley possibly on their way out, Spurs may consider a further advance.
