SUNDERLAND winger Ahmed Elmohamady has rejoined Championship side Hull City on loan until the end of the season.
Elmohamady was recalled from his spell at the KC Stadium a fortnight ago after injuries and departures left Sunderland’s squad depleted.
Although Hull were keen to re-sign Elmohamady, it looked unlikely that the Egyptian winger would be allowed to depart before the transfer deadline.
Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill told the Echo earlier this week: “I wouldn’t have thought he’ll go before Thursday,”
But Sunderland have allowed Elmohamady to re-join the promotion-chasing Tigers until May, with a clause understood to be included in the deal to make it permanent, should Steve Bruce’s side secure a spot in the Premier League.
