SUNDERLAND face another Mersey mission if they can beat Everton after they drew Liverpool in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

Liverpool edged past Stoke City this afternoon, with former Sunderland loanee Stewart Downing grabbing the winner for the Reds after Peter Crouch had cancelled out Suarez’s opener.

The other semi-final will see Chelsea facing the winners of the rearranged Tottenham/Bolton game, which was called off after Fabrice Muamba collapsed. He is still in intensive care in the London Chest Hospital.

Chelsea beat Leicester City 5-2, with Fernando Torres ending his goal drought with two strikes.

The ties will be played the weekend of April 14/15 at Wembley.
