Two of Sky Sports’ star pundits are predicting Sunderland will finish bottom of the pile after 38 games.
Former England and Liverpool players Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp have very low expectations for the Black Cats 2015/16 campaign.
Both believe Sunderland’s transfer dealings haven’t been enought to secure survival and the club will drop into the Championship next year.
And the duo also believe that their place in the Premier League will be taken by a North-East rival, Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough.
Carragher also predicts Bournemouth and Watford will be relegated to the Championship while Redknapp thinks Norwich and Watford will join Sunderland in the bottom three.
They both told the Daily Mail that Chelsea will retain their champions status with Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City making up the rest of the top four.
