Newcastle were beaten 5-1 by Liverpool, with Mackenzie Heaney firing the consolation goal. Harry Wilson (2), Sergi Canos, Jerome Sinclair and Will Marsh guided Liverpool home.
Middlesbrough won 3-0 at Manchester United, helped by two own goals.
