THREE young Sunderland players will achieve something tomorrow which has eluded their star team-mates at the Academy of Light this season – playing in a Wembley final.
Trevor Carson and Adam Reed, both on loan at Brentford, are set to face fellow Sunderland Reserve Liam Noble, on loan at Carlisle United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.
And as the trio line-up on the lush turf of the home of English football, they will compete with the best wishes of manager Steve Bruce.
He said: “I’m absolutely delighted for them.
“To play at Wembley is a highlight for any player, regardless of their age.”
