Sunderland have reportedly taken 15-year old Swedish prospect Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka on trial.
The youngster is part of the Sirius IK academy and is on Wearside for a four-day trial, reports Swedish outlet UNT.
Kimpioka caught the eye in a tournament in Halmstad over the summer.
Academy director Olle Andersson is quoted as saying other clubs have also shown interest in the youngster.
The Echo reported last week on how Sunderland are scouting extensively in Scandinavia for young talent.
Two years ago, Sunderland signed young Swede David Moberg Karlsson from Gothenberg but he failed to make the grade and is now playing with Nordsjaelland.
