Sunderland Under-23s have been handed a home draw against Colchester United in the last 16 of the Premier League Cup.
Elliott Dickman’s side beat Blackburn Rovers in the final round of group matches to leapfrog them and win Group B.
Opponents Colchester progressed as runners-up in Group C, knocking out Manchester City and Derby County.
They will be played between 17 and 20 March, with exact details to be confirmed.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United host West Ham United and its Reading v Middlesbrough/Charlton Athletic in the round of 16 ties.

Entry is free for SAFC season card holders, upon production of their valid season card, whilst non-season card holders pay £3 for adults and £1 for over 65s and under 16s on entry.
