SUNDERLAND will face Martin O’Neill’s former club Leicester City in the dress rehearsal for their Premier League campaign.
The Black Cats travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday, August 11 (kick-off 3pm) for what is likely to be their final pre-season friendly before the Premier League curtain-raiser seven days later.
It is the second of two quick-fire dates in the East Midlands for Sunderland, who face Leicester’s neighbours Derby County at Pride Park three days earlier on Wednesday, August 8.
Sunderland boss O’Neill spent five years in charge of Leicester, winning the League Cup twice for the Foxes.
Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks and will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions for season ticket holders, and £12 for adults and £6 for concessions for non-season ticket holders.
