THE FIRST leg of Sunderland’s Capital One Cup semi-final against Manchester United will take place just 48 hours after the FA Cup third round.

Sunderland will host the reigning Premier League champions on Tuesday, January 7 (kick-off 7.45pm) in the first stage of their last four encounter in the League Cup.

But that comes only two days after Sunderland host League One Carlisle in the FA Cup third round, with Man United hosting Swansea on the Sunday too.

The second leg at Old Trafford will take place on Wednesday, January 22.

Tickets for the first leg are priced at £20 for adults and £5 for under-16s and over-65s.

Season card holders have until 5pm on Monday, December 30 to secure their regular seats, although some supporters in the North West Upper area will be forced to relocate due to the increased allocation of away tickets.

A general sale of tickets will begin on Monday, December 23 at 9am.
