Sunderland target Mathieu Debuchy has signed for Bordeaux.
Debuchy has joined Ligue 1 club Bordeaux on loan for the rest of the season from Arsenal.
The 30-year-old right back had been strongly linked with a move to the North East, with Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce confirming he was a target during the January window.
Aston Villa were also battling for his signature but it became clear on deadline day he would be heading to France.
And the deal has now been confirmed for Debuchy, who has featured seven times for the Gunners this term.
He has made a total of 22 appearances for Arsène Wenger since arriving from Newcastle United in July 2014.
A France international, Debuchy returns to his homeland for the opportunity of regular football ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.
An Arsenal statement said: "Everyone at Arsenal wishes Mathieu well for his time with the Girondins."
