IT is unclear whether or not Danny Rose will be joining the rest of the Sunderland squad in flying to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp today.
The full-back pulled up with a hamstring strain in the closing stages of Saturday’s defeat to Arsenal.
It looked bad at first sight, the defender – only two games back from a previous hamstring problem – pulling up suddenly, but manager Martin O’Neill suggests it is not too bad.
“Danny Rose has done his hamstring again,” the Irishman confirmed.
“But hopefully it is not as bad as the last time he did it.
“We’re going to have it fully assessed over the next couple of days.”
