SUNDERLAND are reportedly in contract negotiations with keeper Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian still has two years left on his contract but the Black Cats will look to reward Mignolet for his excellent form which was key to keeping the side in the Premier League.
A new deal would also safeguard the asset if a big club comes in for the keeper in the future.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both expected to sign new keepers this summer and Mignolet, after his excellent season, is likely to be considered.
Mignolet will want regular action next season as he bids to establish himself as his country’s number one, with the World Cup coming next summer.
