Have your say

Sunderland fans have been reacting to today's 1-0 defeat against Southampton.

The loss, at the Stadium of Light, leaves the Black Cats still in the bottom three.

Sunderland have now lost three of Sam Allardyce's four games in charge, with only the derby win over Newcastle - their only victory of the Premier League campaign - providing any respite.

A 68th-minute penalty by Dusan Tadic after a rash challenge by Yann M'Vila separated the sides, though the home side showed little attacking intent.

After the game, fans took to social media to have their say on the result and performance - and positive comments were few and far between!

@76skelly: Still need to find the balance between attack and defence. It's either defend well with no threat or attack well with no defence #SAFC

@88NTaylor: No one shoots themselves in the foot better than Sunderland. It should be called "doing a Sunderland". Still love you Yann!!! #safc

@grey_flamingo: I wish I didn't support #safc sometimes. Most of my weekends are spent feeling angry and miserable.

@OrdinaryJon: Another dire result #safc.Glad Watmore got 90mins + 6th clean sheet in a row 4 Pickford @ #pnefc Both important in Championship next season.

@carlrutherford: No lives left for the Black Cats. Looks like this is to much to ask this time around, no miracles this season! #SAFC

@MaloyJordan: Why pay £10 million for a winger and drop him for a 18 year old? Why take off your striker for a midfielder when your losing? #Safc

@safcfisherman: will be lucky to have double figures come end of the year in points. Who can big Sam bring in. Who would want to come.#safc

@MikeyScottImage: One of the huge positives from today was 90 minutes for Watmore. I think this kid will be good but needs more time #SAFC

@LBarks72: Can the season just end now , take our medicine & rebuild. This is depressing. #Safc

@RoryFallow: Hope Kaboul and Coates can take confidence from that game. Both played well and obviously not at fault for the goal #safc

@Safc1879_: Coates was excellent #safc

@michaelcopelan9: Ad rather had a go like we did against Everton and lose than play like tht for a point #safc
