TWO years into his tenure at the Stadium of Light and Steve Bruce can delight in having made more than £20million profit in his transfer wheels and deals.
Not only has he taken a club which just survived on its last day of the season and steered it to 13th and then 10th in the table – he’s also made a whacking great profit in the transfer market too!
An analysis of the comings and goings at the Stadium of Light over his first two seasons at the helm reveals Bruce is currently in credit to the tune of more than £20m.
That will be music to the ears of the Sunderland manager, who was incensed when, at the height of his struggles towards the end of last season, several national newspapers questioned the wisdom of his “£50m spending spree” at the Stadium of Light.
