SUNDERLAND manager Steve Bruce admits he was left fuming by the events surrounding Titus Bramble’s arrest this week.
The Black Cats boss was limited in what he could say about central-defender’s arrest on Tuesday night following an incident in a taxi in Cleveland.
But in his pre-match Press conference today, he said: “I’m bitterly disappointed, of course I am.
“I can’t go too much into the circumstances for obvious reasons and no-one should pre-judge Titus until everything is resolved.
“But what disappoints me was that he was out in those circumstances in the first place.
“We had just lost a game on Monday night and he hadn’t played particularly well in that match anyway.
“And I think for the rewards that footballers get out of the game, they have a moral responsibility to behave well.
“He should have been locking himself away for 24 or 48 hours after the defeat on Monday night rather than going to a nightclub.”
Bramble has been suspended by the club.
